Chat with Customers Using Zopim
Zopim live chat is a popular way to assist website or eshop visitors. With Zopim, website visitors will see a chat window in the lower right-hand corner of their screen which says “How can I help you?” and allows them to respond. If you’re online, you’ll see any visitor messages right away. If you’re offline, the messages you’ve received will be available as soon as you sign in to Zopim.com again. And fortunately, Zopim’s Lite plan is free.
Register and Connect Zopim to Your Website at Webgarden
Let’s start by creating an account at zopim.com. Click on the green button on the upper right, as shown below.

Then enter your name (the way it will be displayed in the chat can be chosen later), email address, check the box at the bottom (after reading the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy of course), and confirm.

You will receive an email from Zopim, like the one below, asking you to verify your email address.

Enter your password twice and confirm.

After Zopim welcomes you, you can complete your profile. This includes an opportunity to change your Display Name, as used in the chat window, to something different from what you entered as your real name.

Next, in the section Embed Widget, you will see a window with a widget code. Select and Copy the entire code.

In another browser window, open Webgarden.com, log in to your website administration, and click on the Settings tab at the top of your screen. In Settings, scroll down to Chat with Users - Zopim.com. Paste the code into the area labeled Widget Code and then press Save.

If you then go to your actual website and refresh (if necessary), you will see that the widget is active.

The Visitor List gives an overview of the visitors on your website, including communication history. If you have Zopim.com administration open in your browser, you’ll get an audio notification every time you receive an incoming message.

When you click on a Visitor from the Visitor List, a communication window opens. You can immediately react and respond to the visitor.

Under Settings - Widget - Widget Preferences you can edit the chat bubble text. If you don’t edit the text, Zopim will try to detect the language of your visitors and display the text accordingly.
You can edit the other text which will appear in your chat window by clicking on the Greetings tab at the top of your screen.
Remember, you can sign in to your Zopim administration anytime at dashboard.zopim.com. If you want to maximize your use of the service, it’s good to be signed in to Zopim whenever you’re online. Zopim also offers paid plans - you can have more agents chatting at once, customize the appearance of your widget, and more good stuff.
